reason® Before we create, we think™

"Architect Eero Saarinen followed a belief that his father held: everything should be designed in its next largest context. A chair within a room, a room within a building, a building within a neighborhood, a neighborhood within a city. While context can be challenging to follow and create within architecture, it can be just as difficult when the same principles are applied to communication design. Challenges like these are why we are in business." Eric Yingling

I began my career as a graphic designer in 1994, and have worked independently as a writer, art director, designer and consultant to enterprises, advertising agencies and design firms since earning my Bachelor of Arts degree at California State University, Fullerton where I graduated with honors from both the Department of Communications (Advertising) and the Art Department (minor in graphic design). My Master's degree was earned from Syracuse University were I studied Advertising Design under such industry greats as Lou Dorfsman, Amil Gargano, Bruce Campbell, Steve Liska, David Altschiller and Stavros Cosmopulos, to name a few. Before hanging my shingle, I had to good fortune to work at some of the country's leading advertising and design companies while working on some of the country's biggest brands. My dream of offering world class communication design to small and mid-sized companies that chose not to do business with larger, cumbersome or bureaucratic agencies was realized in March 2002 when I started Reason, LLC.
